Nightmare Break

After a really busy period of work at Christmas that had me working all hours, I felt I needed a break and wanted to treat my husband, who I had barely managed to converse with over the festive period. On a spur of the moment decision, I booked a weekend break at a bed and breakfast in Cumbria that I had seen advertised in a magazine that was lying around at work.

My husband was pleased with his surprise weekend away and we drove up to the Lake District, looking forward to a relaxing break. What I'd failed to notice in the magazine's advertisement, was that clothes were 'optional' at this particular establishment. We didn't know where to look! After a strange weekend, avoiding everyone's gaze and trying to appear relaxed, we got home feeling like we needed another break.

This time, I did a little research. Good bed and breakfasts can be hard to find, but I came across a great website called English Retreats. Easy to use with distinctive guest houses in great locations. We spent a great weekend in a beautiful old country guest house in Yorkshire. We had a beautifully furnished double room with ensuite at a reasonable price. The bed and breakfast was in a great place for exploring the local area and there were no nudists in sight!
